Our Osteo offers Osteopathic consultations and care. The practitioner, Mark Kelly, is a registered Osteopath and member of Osteopathy Australia. Having graduated from RMIT in 1998, he has a wealth of clinical experience and provides treatment for a wide range of adult and children's problems.
Mark began his Osteopathic career in NSW, and relocated to Brisbane in early 2002 to join the West End Osteopathic Clinic. He opened a personal practice in Mansfield in 2004 and has since worked from both locations.
Mark is passionate about educating people to manage and prevent injuries/conditions. He takes the time to discuss his findings and treatment.
Mark has gained a reputation for his treatment of a diverse and complicated range of conditions including, but not limited to:
Musculo-skeletal conditions involving the spine, pelvis and limbs
Perinatal care of pregnant mums
Mechanical aspects of adolescent, child and baby care
Mark is enthusiastic about the integration of Osteopathy with other health modalities and often cross refers with numerous Doctors, Muscular-Skeletal Physicians, Orthopaedic Surgeons, Exercise Physiologists and others to gain the best possible outcome for the patient.
He has also been closely involved with the regulation of Osteopathy through his previous role on the Queensland Registration Board.

Osteopathy aims to deliver comprehensive and hands-on care of the physical body, joints, muscles, nerves and connective tissues.
Osteopaths use a variety of treatment techniques to identify dysfunction in the body. Treatment is suitable for people of all ages.
Our Osteo provides treatment of musculo-skeletal dysfunction that may result from:
workplace stress and activity
sport and leisure activities
chronic illness or sickness
general wear and tear to the body
Osteopaths use a variety of treatment techniques to identify, influence and manage dysfunction in the body. These techniques may include, but are not limited to:
mobilisation of joints and tissues
muscle energy techniques
other gentle indirect techniques.
Osteopaths can also offer advice on stretching and strengthening exercises, nutrition, posture and stress management.
Osteopaths complete at least 5 years of university studying Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, and Osteopathic Techniques. They are government registered and need to comply with continuing professional education regulations.

If you are a new patient, please arrive 10 minutes earlier than your appointment to allow time to complete relevant forms.
What to bring with you to your appointment:
Relevant medical reports and imaging, such as radiological scans.
Your Private Health Fund Card, Pension Card or Health Care Card.
If you have a Doctor approved care plan (for specific chronic conditions), then bring your Medicare Card and Debit Card to claim rebates onsite.
Wear comfortable clothing. Women will be given a gown to wear

Medical history discussion & review
Assessment & diagnosis - examination of the body for range and quality of movement and the condition of the soft tissues, muscles and ligaments.
Opportunity to ask questions!
Our Osteo may talk about how to improve the way you physically use your body to help it's function and reduce stress or strain.
You may be given exercises to do or be advised of relevant activities to take part in (or avoid) to improve your health condition.
Further referral and liaison with complimentary or specialist health providers will occur as necessary.
